Transportable Tablespaces or Full Transportable Export/Import are the common techniques you typically use when you are going to migrate larger databases from one operating system to a different one. Usually, a Endianness-change is involved. And very often you will use our M5 scripts to benefit of incremental backups to reduce the downtime.
