Time flies so quickly. Soon we’ll get together again in Las Vegas for Oracle Cloud World 2025. This year, it will be in October where hopefully it’s a few degrees colder (or less hot) than in early September last year. And as in the past years, we’ll do at OCW25 – Pre-Event Training: Mastering Oracle 23ai Upgrades.

Will our pre-event training be different this year?
Of course, we won’t do the same training as we did in 2024. It will be a different training set with plenty of different exercises. Some core things will be updated from last year but we’ll explore new grounds together with you.
This year, we will focus a lot on Refreshable Clone PDBs, and using AutoUpgrade for those. But we will also showcase how to build a proper home with all necessary patches beforehand. New features, awesome and super-helpful enhancements – you will try it out in our pre-event workshop. And we’ll cover of course upgrade to Oracle Database 23ai with the newest release and enhancements in AutoUpgrade.
Still not enough for you? Then let’s see how we can migrate to Oracle ADB with a hassle-free technique.
Be prepared, fasten your seat belt – this could be your ultimate hands-on experience without the time pressure of the usual OCW labs.
Do you want to learn (more)?
Then watch this short 2 min video – it will tell you all, and you will sign up right away.
Who’ll deliver the training?
It will be us, the usual suspects. Daniel Overby Hansen, Rodrigo Jorge, Alex Zaballa and myself. We would like to share a ton of real-world experience with you, our learnings from 23ai projects and ADB migrations. And you can ask us anything – we just won’t solve your SRs.
Still, this day allows usually enough room for discussions about your challenges.
This is why we love it so much!!
How to sign up?
The registration for the pre-event training:
Mastering Oracle 23ai Upgrades: Best Practices and Zero Downtime Techniques [PRE1115]
is live already – you can sign up now.
Don’t miss the chance! Make the most out of OCW25 and SIGN UP NOW!
And ideally, bring your laptop and a charger as well. We’ll have a few spare laptops in the room but not enough for everyone already signed up.
