There were quite a few changes to MOS Note:742060.1 (Release Schedule of Current Database Releases) recently. And this week the new Premier Support end date for Oracle Database 23ai has been adjusted.

What has been announced?
When you check MOS Note:742060.1 then you’ll see three recent changes. At first, the Premier Support for Oracle Database 23ai has been extended by 2 years from end of calendar year 2029 to end of calendar year 2031. In addition, the Extended Support period for Oracle Database 23ai has been removed which doesn’t mean that there won’t be Extended Support for it. In the table below the Support Timeline you can see that it is marked as TBD (to be decided) which means that it will be announced later.
- Premier Support end for Oracle Database 23ai changed from Dec 31, 2029 to now Dec 31, 2031
- Extended Support period for Oracle Database 23ai now TBD
One additional change you may find is that the release dates for Oracle Database 23ai have been adjusted as well to TBA – to be announced.
For previous changes, especially the extension of the Premier Support and Extended Support dates of Oracle Database 19c, please see my previous blog post about Important update to Oracle Database 19c Support timelines.
Hm… when I check the note, it still states that Premier Support for 23ai ends on December 31, 2029, and Extended Support ends on December 31, 2032 (which would still align with 19c).
Hi Mike,
I’m working for a customer with a valid Oracle Support identifier and right now I do not have any access to MOS 742060.1 because Oracle Support says, it is an internal document.
Last week during DOAG I had access to this document.
Denisia from the Oracle Support Chatbot redirects me to you for clearance.
Can you clarify the current situation of MOS 742060.1, please?
Thanks.
Best regards
Bernd
Hi Bernd,
this happens only when the note undergoes a change – then it goes into NEEDS REVIEW cycle until a REVIEW has been completed and it gets published again. MOS is a lousy interface not telling you I confess …
Cheers,
Mike
Hi Mike,
unfortunately i can’t open the note.
Everytime i try to open the page i am redirected to the login page.
tried different ways to come to the note, also two browsers, it’s a little bit strange

Hi Juergen,
you mean 742060.1? It works fine for me – maybe there was an issue at this particular day?
Cheers,
Mike
Hi Mike!
Had a lengthy call with Oracle Support.
Accessing MOS Note:742060.1 will allways redirect me to login.
At the end I was told, that this not is internal use only…
SR: 3-38876303811
Maybe there is something wrong with the note…
Regards
Andreas
Hi Andreas,
we have the same issue. Somebody messed around with the internal note, and I fear it has been mirrored to the external portal causing trouble.
I have the same effect, and the internal note has been overwritten. Please stay tuned, it should be back soon.
Cheers,
Mike
Hi Mike, it seems that the doc has been deleted.
I guess somebody messed with it. We saw this in the internal portal at first, and I fear it has been mirrored to the external portal.
It should be back soon again.
Thanks
Mike
Thanks for the information Mike, but I don’t have access to note 742060.1.
Last week it was ok, I checked this note when you wrote about ” Oracle Database 19c Support Timelines” but today, I don’t have access anymore. Is this normal behavior ?
All other note’s, SR, patches, etc are available for me.
Hi Anton,
a person made a failure last night, and the people in charge restore the MOS 742060.1 right now 🙂
Somebody had a very bad sleepless night I guess …
Sorry for that, it will be fixed soon.
Cheers,
Mike
Still no on-prem release for 23ai. Maybe skip that name and call it 25ai or 26ai instead. Will be confused since it is not released even close to 23.
Hi Mika,
I still have hope – but you are right about the name …
Cheers,
Mike
So I got this right ;D
