It’s fall (or autumn) already, and for us the time for user groups and full-day workshops starts. Please please please … be aware, those workshops are in-person only. No streaming, and no recording will be available. We try to offer them as often as possible, and we have already an impressive list of dates for 2025 between January and May. But we are still in 2024 – and it is your chance to sign up now to ourUpcoming in-person Oracle 23ai workshops in Berlin, Zürich and Oslo in October.

In fact, there are not too many seats available in the 3 cities we’ll visit in October in 2 and 3 weeks from now on. So, you may please hurry and allocate your seat. Please be also kind in case you need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances – release your seat since somebody else will take it.

At first, we do zero marketing, tech-only. The whole day.
And we will show you some of the coolest new things, regardless of whether you are still on Oracle Database 19c or planning to move to Oracle Database 23ai soon.
You’ll get a complete overview on:
- How to take full advantage of the new features and options in Oracle Database 19c and 23ai
- The smoothest and fully unattended migration to the CDB architecture
- Real World Best Practices and Customer Cases
- Database and Grid Infrastructure Patching Best Practices
- Performance Stability Prescription and Tips
- The coolest new features in Oracle Database 23ai for DBAs and Developers
Be aware, we will present in English. It is an in-person event only. And Daniel Overby Hansen, Rodrigo Jorge and myself will guide you through these workshop days.
We are VERY much looking forward to meet you in-person!
See you soon!

Any plan in future for this Workshop in London
Not that I am aware of it.
Marketing allocated budget – and I would LOVE (really!!!) to come to London. We could combine it with OCW Tour 2025 for instance.
But we had not been contacted – let me ask internally.
Cheers,
Mike
Hi Mike,
Do you know when the 23ai database will be available for download? We’ve been planning upgrades and mobilizing resources since January 2025, but this new version is a long time coming and we have no information.
Thank a lot,
Hi Franck,
please see my other answer – I can only refer you to MOS 742060.1.
Cheers,
Mike
Hi Mike,
We have planned our migration to Oracle DB 23ai from early 2025. For this, we have reserved resources, purchased servers (AIX to Linux migration) but to date, the 23ai is still not available for download and I have no information.
Do you have a release date for the 23ai? Where can I get this information?
Thank you for your reply.
Hi Franck,
I have no dates – but please drop me an email (mike.dietrich …. oracle.com), and we can guide you to move your 19c environments safely across.
Please see MOS 742060.1 – and I can’t tell you more than the MOS note says since I have no other information than that.
Cheers,
Mike
