I learned the other week that 2 years of Extended Support get waived for Oracle Database 19c. So, just in case you haven’t seen it, please take note since this is important to know.

Where can you find the updated information?
You can find the updated information in our single-source-of-truth MOS Note: 742060.1 – Release Schedule of Current Database Releases explaining:
Premier Support (PS) ends April 30, 2024, two years of waived Extended Support (ES) fees will be in effect from May 1, 2024 until April 30, 2026. Fees will be required beginning May 01, 2026 through April 30, 2027

Please always see MOS Note: 742060.1 for the up-to-date graphic. This one represents the current state as of Aug 22, 2023.
Might this indicate a possible delay of the the release of 23c? Perhaps into next year?
I seriously have no idea or insights.
Cheers,
Mike
Hi Mike,
Thanks for sharing this information with us.
It’s a pity that 23c is not available yet on-premises, while Oracle Linux 7 approaches it’s end-of-life support next year April 2024.
This makes the ideal scenario unrealistic: migration to OEL8 combined with upgrade 19c-> 23c all-together in once to a new server.
Kunde regards.
Mariana
But you may upgrade your OL box to OL8 at first – and I see your concern 🙁
Cheers,
Mike
This is gr8 news. Thanks for sharing.
Note: Article title isn’t clear to indicate the FEES are waived.
Hi Kavitha,
why do you think it is not clear???
The word “waived” implicitly says that.
Cheers,
Mike
