You may have heard or seen – or even registered already – for the regional Oracle Cloud World in London on April 19, 2023 already. But were you aware that the “event to be at” happens just the next day on April 20? It will be Oracle Database World in London – THE event in April 2023.
When and where will it happen?
April 20, 2023, a Thursday will be the day to mark in your calendar. We’ll meet you at Oracle Database World, the regional database event to be at in London this year at the Intercontinental London – The O2. In case you signed up for OCW as well, please be aware that Oracle Database World happens at a different location.
What does it cost?
Of course, such events don’t cost an entry fee. You just need to register here please. And then of course, show up. DON’T BE A NO-SHOW. We want you there. In person – not on Zoom or Teams. You’ll miss this unique learning opportunity if you don’t show up in person. And our spies told us that there are no train strikes planned for this day. Hence, no excuses.
What will you get?
Database content – mostly. And Hands-On Labs. Please browse through the agenda. We’ll have EVP Juan Loiza coming from the US and filling you in about the newest developments in the database space. Plus an Ask me Anything session – which is your chance to ask Juan about the newest stuff. Then Dominic Giles, Keith Laker, Pedro Lopes, Ludovico Caldara and myself guide you through several technical sessions.
In parallel, we prepared 3 Hands-On Labs, each of them 90 minutes long (and bring your laptop):
- Data Studio: Self-service tools for everyone using ADB
- Build a social media app like “Instagram” with low-code using APEX
- Hitchhiker’s Guide to Upgrades to Oracle Database 19c
Of course, in addition you’ll have the unique chance to meet with us and discuss your topics, face to face.
The topics we’ll speak about:
- The Future of Data-Centric App Development
- What’s new in Oracle Database 23c
- Database Upgrade and Migration Best Practices
- Data Lake Analytics with ADB
- Mission-Critical Databases made simple
And there is even another track for AppDev and Analytics
Actually, you won’t get just database content. There is another track about Spatial, AppDev and Analytics with top experts such as Roger Ford, Hans Viehmann, John Lathouwers and Pelin Ozbozkurt.
Oracle Database World on Thursday, April 20, 2023 in London at the Intercontinental London – The O2 is the database event to chat with top experts about Oracle Database 23c, Data Guard, Upgrades and Migrations, Autonomous and Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Oracle APEX, Mission Critical setups and much much more. Take the chance – I have heard today from our marketing team that only a limited amount of tickets is left.
CU there in 2 weeks!
Final comment: In case you travel from the EU, please don’t forget your passport. You will need it. Your ID card is not enough. Bring your passport to entire the UK.

Are Oracle going to include support of OL9 for Database 19c in incoming April’s RU?
Can’t find and information about it, maybe you know smth?
please open an SR and check with Oracle Support. Since our team is not involved into OL9 certifications, I can’t tell you any dates. I know that a certification is supposed to happen – but I don’t know when this will be.
It was great to have listened to you and meet you in person in London at Oracle Database World event. I am always impressed at your willingness and patience with all of us wanting to have a word or a picture (or both) with you, at times preventing you from having food. I really like the way you conduct your presentations and I learn something new from them every time so a BIG thank you!!!
Would you know if we can access the presentations from the event anywhere? There were so many great ones running at the same time…it was quite a difficult to choose one over another. So I am hoping to be able to revisit those presentations.
p.s. Did I say I tried to use my “google skills” but failed to find any? 🙂
was a great pleasure so meet you and talk to you.
And thanks for your kind feedback 🙂
My slides are here:
And I did ask where we host all the other decks since I failed with various search engines as well 🙁
I would have hoped that the “thank you for coming to the event” email would have contained it.
I will update the comment here as soon as I know where the slide decks are stored.
here we go – the team has added download links (and ideally, you should have received an email as well already).
Find them here, too:
Appreciate your response and links to the slides
