What can you expect?

This will be a special seminar. Of course, we won’t do any sort of marketing or sales pitches. It’s just about technology. This time we’d really like to look at Data Pump from the “internals” perspective. Certainly we’ll talk about Best Practices and useful Tips & Tricks. But especially in the second part of this 2 hour Virtual Classroom Seminar we’ll dig deep into topics such as:

  • What does Data Pump do when you set PARALLEL?
  • Can you adjust the PARALLEL degree while expdp/impdp are running?
  • How does Data Pump access meta information?
  • How does Data Pump store meta information?
  • How do you patch Data Pump?
  • And when things go wild, how do you troubleshoot Data Pump?

As usual, this won’t be a “powerpoint-only battle” – we’ll show some cool demos as well.

You may not have expected that we could do a full seminar about such a tiny little tool you may have used a thousand times already. But we think that understanding certain mechanisms will allow you to use Data Pump in the future even more efficiently.

Join us on March 3, 2022 for Data Pump Extreme – Deep Dive with Development!

–Mike
