The responsible team announced it at Collaborate Conference in San Antonio, TX, a few days ago: If you are an Oracle E-Business Suite customer with Oracle Database 12.1 or 11.2 in use for your EBS environment, then you will like this announcement. As of now the Extended Support Fee has been waived for EBS customers for Oracle 12.1 and 11.2 until December 2020.

Why do we waive the Extended Support for EBS customers?
You will find more details in the note – and also an important requirement. I quote the note:
Due to the certification timing of Oracle E-Business Suite with Oracle Database versions beyond 12.1, Oracle has waived Extended Support fees for Oracle Database 12.1 and 11.2 for Oracle Database licenses used for Oracle E-Business Suite through December 2020.
This Extended Support fee waiver will be specific to the Oracle Database licenses, within your company’s footprint, that you use for running Oracle E-Business Suite software.
And please note that this applies until December 2020. For Oracle Database 220.127.116.11 this is fine. And of course it applies only to Oracle 18.104.22.168 for Oracle 11g, not for 22.214.171.124. But the Extended Support for Oracle Database 126.96.36.199 runs longer. Hence, you should be aware of this stop of the waiver in December 2020.
