Finally … it took a little while but now Oracle GoldenGate 12.3 is supported for Oracle Database 12.2.0.1.
Never heard of Oracle GoldeGate? Then you may look either into our slide deck and see the customer case of Amadeus. Or you may read further on OTN: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/goldengate/overview/index.html
Oracle GoldenGate 12.3 is supported for Oracle Database 12.2.0.1
Roy and I received this question quite often in the past months:
When will Oracle GoldenGate be certified for use with Oracle Database 12.2.0.1?
I just learned about it today via the blog post of my friend YV RaviKumar who wrote about it. And so I checked the certification matrix on MyOracle Support immediately:

Oracle GoldenGate 12.3 certification with Oracle Database 12.2.0.1
And yes, it is supported now:

Certification Results of Oracle GoldenGate with Oracle 12.2.0.1
Oracle GoldenGate 12.3.0.1.1 is already available – and both versions are supported back down to Oracle Database 11.2.0.1.

hello Mike,
thanks a lot for the goldengate release 12.3 informations.
Is it also possible to replicate data from an oracle container database 12.2 with goldengate 12.3 to a postgresql database with goldengate 12.2? Is goldengate 12.3 in the next time also released for postgresql?
Thank you very much for a short answer.
With best regards
Stefan Muster
Stefan,
please see:
Oracle Support Document 1367504.1 (Does OGG support PostgreSQL) can be found at: https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?id=1367504.1
I can’t copy/paste the content but I hope you can access it. For exact version details you may have to open an SR and clarify with Oracle Support please.
Cheers
Mike
Hi Mike,
What is the maximum version number of Golden Gate that supports Oracle 11.2.0.1 on Linux x86-64 (extract side)?
Zaur,
as I wrote at the end of my blog post, it should be 12.3.0.1 – but I’m unsure about the exact patch level. If you need this information please check with Oracle Support as I realize that I can’t check certification with the database in MOS as soon as I choose “oracle goldengate” and “12.3.0.1.3”.
Cheers,
Mike
Mike…
Just curious if there’s is any information available about Golden Gate compatibility for 18c now that it is in general release.
Thanks for your time,
Harold
I’ll check and get back to you.
Thanks
Mike
No, there’s no support of 18c for neither extraction nor replication. And there’s no date when it wiil be.
Well, there’s a date. But I can’t post it …
🙁
Mike
Good for us, OGG 18.1 has been released with full 18c support!

Thanks – and yes, finally …

Hi Mike,
Any idea when the next GG for Postgres will be released? The current one is 12.2 and it doesnt support the trails from Oracle>=12.2
Thanks
Hi Nariman,
sorry but I don’t know. But rumors say it won’t take too long. But I can’t give you an estimate.
Cheers,
Mike
