When will this feature be available?
I would like to download 12.1.0.2 for Linux and Oracle Software Cloud does allow me to search and find the software I would like.
However, downloads don’t appear to work.
Ian,
what exactly is not working? I can download all available editions of Oracle 12.1.0.2 from edlivery.oracle.com.
Start off with:
Search: “Oracle Database Enter” … and click on the entry in the list. Go on to “Select Platforms” and choose “Linux x86-64”.
Hit CONTINUE
Now you alter the list as the default is 12.2.
Click on “Select Alternate Release”, the link directly under Oracle Databaase Enterprise Edition …
This will transform the link into a drop down box.
Now you can select it.
And I’m with you, this could have been done more obvious.
Cheers and sorry for the inconvenience
Mike
Hi Mike,
Thanks for responding.
Beyond navigating through the software selection process, once either my colleagues or I reach the screen with the “download” button and click “download”, it prompts us to select a destination. No destination we choose seems to satisfy the download manager. The message we receive says, “Please try again to save to a different location.”
Luckily, simply clicking the hyperlink for the zip files allows them to be downloaded without using the download button.
Odd. Un-intuitive. But ultimately it is functional.
Ian,
I think this may have to do with the browser either blocking pop-ups – or with the download manager which we try to start to download your software. Ignore that piece please, I never used it by myself. Just click on the link and then you should be able to download whatever you want. And sorry for the inconveniences – I’m with you, this is more than odd and not intuitive at all.
Cheers
Mike
