Thanks to Pieter who had very unfunny issues when trying to apply the April PSU to a customer’s GI with Oct 2014 PSU in the home already …
“Apparently when we want to apply the new april psu, we have to rollback the october patch and fall back completely to 12.1.0.2.0.This must be too strange to be true? Altough support confirms, I still think it ’s strange. “Pieter, I agree by 100%.
See the details here taken from the MOS Note:
Conflict Between the OCW Subpatch 19392604 and the DB Subpatch 20075921Problem:
Due to bug 20157569, customers upgrading from the following scenarios, will hit a conflict between the OCW subpatch 19392604 and the DB subpatch 20075921:
- 121021DBBP to 121023DBBP (and higher DBBP versions)
- 121022DBBP to 121023DBBP (and higher DBBP versions)
Solution:
Rollback the OCW subpatch 19392604 before applying the 121023DBBP (or higher DBBP version) on top of the 121021DBBP or on top of the 121022DBBP.
And the story continues as the Oct 2014 PSU couldn’t be deinstalled from the machine:
