Travel is over for this year. And it might be a great idea as we had tons of snow in Munich the last two days – and more than 130 flights got canceled at MUC.
Even though I love snow and the quietness outside once the surroundings are fully covered by fresh powder I’ll have to say that I did like Camps Bay in Capetown a lot 🙂
Anyway, after several years of heavy travel my Logitech Presenter and my Shure In-Ear phones for my iPod gave up nearly at the same time. I looked up my order for the Logitech in our internal system to realize that it had its 5th anniversary earlier this week. I’m still not sure about the fact that a tech tool prized originally at €80,- (approx $110) just lasts for 5 years. But on the other hand it had a hard time with more than 150 full day workshops, several conferences and customer visits in the past 5 years. And it’s not Made in Germany 😉
Much harder for me is that my wonderful Shure In-Ear phones give up as well. I’m a bit mad about clear sounds, great recordings and High Fidelity. My iPod has just lossless compressed files on it. But the cables …ouch! I’ve used them in the past 3 years heavily, I slept with them on in my “spacious” economy seats traveling round the world. And now it’s over … 🙁 So if anybody has a great recommendation for excellent in-ear phones please let me know (btw, BOSE, JBL and Klippsch either don’t fit my ears or have this wooooooooom bass which I don’t enjoy very much) 😉 … thanks in advance!
Had my Bang&Olufsen earphones for nearly 7 years and quite frankly nothing else compares. They’re expensive, but worth every cent. Not noise-cancelling, so maybe not appropriate for airline travel?
Hi Noons,
thanks a lot for this recommendation. I don’t need a noise canceling function if the phones fit in-ear. And the B&O’s are one of the models I will have a look at 🙂
Thanks a lot!
