For those like us whom are not able to use flash can you also print screen for www://supporthtml.oracle.com Version.
Thanks Regards François.
Mike can you add note for cross platform migration with native database!
Speed up your upgrade performance by:
• Truncating the auditing table SYS.AUD$
This table can have been migrated to the system owner by catlbacs.sql.
Note: Document TitleComplete Checklist for Manual Upgrades to 11gR2 (Doc ID 837570.1)
Check the spool file and examine the output of the upgrade information tool.
The sections which follow, describe the output of the Upgrade Information Tool.
For Sample output, Click here
https://webiv.oraclecorp.com/cgi-bin/webiv/do.pl/awiz.pl#appA Appendix A: “Deprecated Initialization Parameters” for a list of initialization parameters that are deprecated in Oracle Database 11g release 2 (11.2).
Appendix B: “Obsolete Initialization Parameters” for a list of initialization parameters that are obsolete in Oracle Database 11g release 2 (11.2)
Comment out obsoleted parameters( Appendix A ) and change all deprecated parameters( Appendix B ).
Note Document TitleScript to Collect DB Upgrade/Migrate Diagnostic Information (dbupgdiag.sql) (Doc ID 556610.1)
Scripts appear as a bmp file!!!
Thanks for this information – the script can be found in $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin and it’s a subset of script: @$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/catols.sql for Label Security.
I would – but I can’t login to the html portal as it is fully for customers and not for Oracle people.
Thanx a lot for the presentation! It will be very helpful to use your great migration guide when upgrading databases! 🙂
